Built in 1928 the Texas Rabbit Works now historically displays the last rabbit processing works in Australia, providing an interactive and informative experience.

Many Australian communities, like Texas, were plagued with rabbits during the 1930s and survived the depression years by trapping and exporting them to America and England, a very prosperous industry at the time.

The Rabbit Works Factory is well documented, retelling the intriguing story from the view of the local people. The factory has been re-designed to include informative panels, audio recordings and wall-mounted touchscreens which are educational and child-friendly.
